Rikkyo and Sophia School Festivals

We went to Sonrise Cafe for our staff meeting on Monday. Sonrise Cafe is started and run by Christian missionaries who have a heart for building churches in Japan. =) We spent the meeting really praying and planning for our Christmas campaign. It consists first of us inviting people to our concert on 12/12, which will have famous Christian artists and bands performing live for us. Secondly, we plan on how we will distribute the 20,000 Christmas CDs that have sample tracks from the aforementioned artists and the gospel message in it. Lastly, it consists of us deciding how we would create faith goals on sharing the gospel to people in this season, and discipling students to grow from this opportunity. For these 8 weeks, I decided to make a goal of myself to meet and have spiritual conversataions with 4 new people (currently, I don’t get to meet any new people, so this is a goal from zero to 4).

After lunch we went to Rikkyo University to see how we can reach out to the campus. It was their school festival this weekend, but the university is super strict on passing out things on campus. So we decided to talk with each club’s booth and sometimes we were able to share our CD’s with them! =) Some of us actually went to each booth and bought something, and after buying something such as Takoyaki, Choco bananas, etc, they would ask if they would like any Christmas CDs, and the answer was always yes!

Lillian being excited to be outside the Rikkyo school festival =)

I tried to make a new dish on Monday night. I tried to make oyakodon without looking at a recipe. So of course it wasn’t perfect, but it still tasted good. =) Maybe next time I will get the other ingredients so my oyakodon would be more complete. =)

Today, I went to Sophia University for their school festival. omg. There is so much talent in the university! I watched the famous gospel choir(Safro Family), and also the Sophia dance club (G-Splash) perform on stage, and was absolutely blown away.  I didn’t bring a camera today, so I didn’t get any pictures or videos, but I found a video of each of them from previous years. =) I went to see Safro Family because my friends Serina and Yu were performing, and they did such an awesome job!

G-Splash’s 2008 school performance =) I saw a similar performance today

Safro Family’s concert performance, I think it was from this year for Halloween. The singing starts 2 minutes into the video.

Edit: Oh, and it suddenly dropped 10 degrees colder in one day. It’s freezing now!! T_T I might have to buy new clothes if my current ones don’t keep me warm enough. T_T

Second Edit: Wow! I surpassed 2000 page views for my blog! O_O Thank you all for reading my blog!

Prayer requests:

1. For me to continue to trust God for big faith goals. I pray that I will make at least 40 new contacts before the end of the year. =)

2. For me to let Christ reign in my everyday life. =)
