I’ve been pretty busy and coming home really tired recently, so I haven’t been able to write the small updates I wanted to. ^^;; I have some things I want to write, but as I have to rush off to campus soon, here’s just the small update:
Monday 11:23:09 : As it was a national holiday, we had the day off. I spent the morning praying, then took a nap until the afternoon, where we as the stint guys went over to Akihabara to go window shopping. At night, we reserved the student center and watched a “Nightmare before Christmas” with stinters and students. =)
Tuesday 11/24/09 : My Toyo class was cancelled again, so instead I went over planning for Thursday’s Waseda lunch. I also went over to Waseda to pray for the campus, then had dinner with Maria and Yuting. Afterwards, we had our Paddy meeting again. Maria and I love Paddy. The students there are so open to talking about deep and interesting matters. It feels a little like the Areopagus where people come and discuss about interesting topics. We are building many good relationships here and who knows how God can use it? ^__^
Wednesday 11.25.09 : We had our stint meeting from 11 to 5:30pm. It was really good as we learned how to launch movements. We realized we were most probably on the pioneering stage in ministry, and seeing how God finds it just as important to lay a foundation as it is to harvest the fields. It was a fresh insight into ministry, as sometimes we felt frustrated with the lack of harvest. But now knowing that our purpose this year is foundation building, we are encouraged to do this work as well as we can. =)
At 6, I participated with the Holy Spirit and FREE gospel choir practice, since I was part of the sign dancing group. =) It was so encouraging to hear all the gospel music being practiced, and to see the fruit of our labor starting to show as we rehearsed. ^___^

FREE gospel choir practicing for the concert =)
FREE and Holy Spirit practicing =)
Thursday 11-26-09 : Waseda early in the morning to prayer walk around the campus. Then we went over to the cafeteria to plan future events. Our lunch time was awesome though. We had so many students come this time, and many more expressed interest in coming in the future! Praise God! For the last few weeks, we had only 2-3 students, but with the 7 or so students that came this time, it was a huge answer to prayer! We spent 3 hours talking with them and it was a good bonding time. I pray that we will use this time wisely and may the Lord show grace on us.
At 4, I met up with Minami, and Nobu and Masa joined us for an English practice hour. What that meant was that Nobu would be asking me many many questions and I would have to answer it in a 20 second long reply, while Masa and Minami would have to tell me what I said after I was done. That was taxing on my brain, to keep coming up with answers, but I bet it was just as hard for Nobu to keep coming up with new questions to ask me. ^^;; But it was another good way to spend time with the students, and they really appreciated the help we provided. =)
Prayer Requests:
1. Many people on my team or friends are getting sick with a cold or flu. =( Please continue to pray for health
2. We are continuing to invite students to out 12/12 Christmas concert! May God bring the 250 students to the concert.
3. Pray for spiritual protection, as some on my team have been getting bad nightmares ever since coming here
I used to have dreams too so I started to pray very hard before I go to sleep. And now I don’t have much dreams. Even right after my dad passed away, God protected my thoughts. His word will purify all unrighteousness. We must be a Christ exalting, Word saturated people Christ-centered people. He is our lord even in our dreams.

What a blessing Ariel to see you in ministry in Japan. You mom didn’t get to go because God was using her to prepare four fine young men to serve God. God bless in you in your endeavors and may God be glorified in and through you.

I read your blog again. Wow! from 2-3 people to 7; that is a 50% growth. Surely it is a praise.
I read your blog again because I just want to get a glimpse of His grace once again. I do not cease in remembering you in my thoughts.
You do have an awesome support team in America.

I thought of you when I read this quote so I like to share with you:
I’ll Be Honest “Only one life, ’twill soon be past, only what’s done for Christ will last. And when I am dying, how happy I’ll be, if the lamp of my life has been burned out for Thee.”- Oh God, help me Lord, help me today Father, to truly be burnt out for Thee. Oh Lord, please… I want Christ!
